Jeanne M. Heran has been a practicing attorney in New York since 1987.
Jeanne began her career in the Albany County Public Defenders office and left there after 17 years of public service and after becoming Chief Assistant Public Defender in charge of the Appellate Unit.
She has since entered private practice and concentrates primarily in the area of Real Property. She handles both Residential and Commercial transactions. Jeanne has acted as Intermediary for 1031 Exchanges and handles short sales on a regular basis.
In 2003 Jeanne formed her title agency for the benefit of her real property clients. Hearthstone Abstract, LLC was created so that the title needs of all her property clients could be taken care of within the office, thus streamlining the process as much as possible

Ms. Heran writes title only for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company. This allows us to have control of more of the purchasing process and allows us to learn and address any title defects as soon as they are found. This will often lead to a smoother and many times quicker route in getting to a closing table.
Hearthstone Abstract, LLC also acts as an Intermediary for any 1031 Exchanges that may need that service.
